To make life easier for everyone I caught the train from Washington DC Union Station (a most remarkably beautiful building) gto Philadelphia 30th Street Station. Michelle and I arrived in our respective modes of transport at the same time, which was very lucky was parking was literally to pick up only!
The train system is far better in the East as more people reply on public transport and I purchased a fourteen day advanced ticket for $35 which was a real bargain! I met a talkative chap who worked at the Capitol Building and he helped me onto the train with my two 50lb suitcases! I am glad that this may be one of only two cases where I have to take the train due to the luggage I have accumulated!
